Recurring Role: FOH Engineer at The Summit Church
Venue: The Summit Church, Capital Hill Campus
Audio Engineer: Keegan Pierce
Since October 2021, I have served as the primary weekend FOH Audio Engineer at The Summit Church's broadcast campus, Capital Hills. My role each weekend includes all audio setup, patching, channel and sound design, as well as running audio for rehearsals, sound checks, and (3) services across Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. I coordinate with the band, online audio engineering, and all other production divisions to ensure a quality audio experience for all attendees at any of our weekend services.
The Capital Hills campus auditorium is unique with a Yamaha PM7 paired with (16) channels of Shure Wireless microphones and (12) Shure Wireless IEMs. All audio processing is done through DANTE at 48k and then gets passed to a D&B Soundscape system with a full 360 degree experience of sound, plus a set of delays and front fills. We have the ability to individually place every instrument and vocal in a specific place within the room to provide a diverse and dynamic sound no matter where you sit in the auditorium. We also make use of a WAVES server for finer vocal and instrument tuning.
I also run audio for a variety of special events, from conferences to camps and anything in between that may need use of the main auditorium.
